SB Connect Winter 2016

Could you be a foster carer?

Would you be interested in fostering children and young people who either cannot live at home or who need additional support?

Carers are needed in the Borders to look after children and young people of all ages, especially adolescents.

Emergency carers who are prepared to help out at short notice are also required.

Foster carers need to have experience of looking after or working with children and be able to provide positive parenting with patience and understanding.

Carers have full access to training, and a team of specialist social workers is on hand to provide support. They are paid an allowance to cover costs as well as a weekly fee.

If you think you could be a carer, or would just like to find out more information, contact the Family Placement Team on 01896 662799. There are children and young people waiting now for the right kind of family.
